Profile

Brume Design Studios was founded by Sheila Mednick, a multidisciplinary designer with a decade of experience working in architecture and interiors. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Art History with a focus on Architectural History and began her education in studio architecture with a post-bac at Columbia University. From there, she moved on to achieve a Master of Architecture from Rice University, during which she studied in Paris and was awarded fellowships to research architecture in London, Stockholm, and Berlin.

Sheila has worked across the United States and internationally at architecture and interior design agencies in San Francisco, New York, Houston, and Paris. With a working method that is equal parts intuitive and analytical, she draws inspiration from both traditional and modern art, design, and interiors across the world. Her design philosophy is that broad horizons and open curiosity are essential to achieving holistic, highly functional, and uniquely creative designs.

Brume is a full-service interiors design firm offering both hourly consulting and turn-key interior design services. Regardless of the size of the project, we act as your advocate and ensure a smooth and efficient process from start to finish. While based in San Francisco, we travel across the Bay Area for our client’s projects.
